What is secutex®?

secutex® is a polyurethane elasomer combining physical and chemical properties in an unique way and therefore suitable for many fields of application:

• High structural strength:
  secutex® is one of the chemical materials which feature the highest tear resistance of all non-reinforced elasomers.
  
  
• High elasticity:
  The elastic modulus of secutex® is considerably higher than that of conventional rubber qualities. The flexibility is maintained over a large temperature range.
  
  
• High wear-resistance:
  secutex® is characterized by an excellent resisance to wear. The wet wear-resistance is even better than that of many metals.
  
  
• Good resistance to chemical agents:
  For most technical applications secutex® features a well-balanced resistance to chemicals.
  
  
• Good ageing stability:
  secutex® is insensitive atmospheric influence. The material turns yellow, but this does not alter the mechanical properties..
  
  
• High shock absorption:
  secutex® prevents damage to striking parts, such as pipes, crates, sheet metal plates, coils, vehicles.
  
  
• High noise absorption:
  secutex® prevents hearing damage by damping high-frequency vibrations caused e.g. by conveyor belts, drip troughs, transport of sheet steel cases, vehicles, machines.
  
  
• Good slide blocking:
  secutex® prevents loads from slipping during transport, e.g transport of tools, machinery components etc. by a forklift truck.
