500 t Spreader beam Offshore

Application:
Mountable beam to lift tower sections

Details:
The beam has a capacity of 500 tons and is used by a major German manufacturer of offshore wind turbines for the handling of tower segments with a length of up to 50 m. The beam is 35 m. long and consists of three parts bolted together via milled flange plates. A major challenge was the mandatory load test for offshore areas with a test load of 600 tons. In order to run the test of this extremely long beam, the largest test stand for lifting equipment available in-house had to be turned around indoors.

VarioBeam, Mountable spreader beam

Application:
Modular crossbeam for lifting rotor blades

Details:
The crossbeam can be disassembled and has an automatic hook with remote release. Wind turbines must be assembled in difficult terrain and individual rotors must be replaced. Large spreader beams are used extensively for assembling long loads, but the load bearing equipment is often very complex and expensive and must be transported long distances to the location. The modular traverse developed together with a major manufacturer of wind turbines consists of elements with a maximum length of 3 m and the optional transport trolley guarantees secure transport. Simple end pieces can be mounted at the ends, as can broad T-pieces.

70 t lifting device for rotor heads suspension adjustable under load

Application:
Load bearing equipment for the assembly of a
complete rotor, onshore/offshore

Details:
With hydraulically adjustable crane attachment to adjust the inclination when loaded. The complete rotor is attached in a horizontal position. Then the load bearing equipment is released and the rotor is brought to a vertical position by releasing the second crane. The adjustable inclination when loaded allows for precise adjustments to be made and the assembly time to be significantly reduced. Especially in a difficult offshore situation, efficient handling is extremely important.

200 t Spreader beam for machine house

Application:
Modularly constructed crossbeam for the construction of wind turbines

Details:
Crossbeam with mounted transverse members. The central crossbeam has two double bollards for round slings or wire ropes. The transverse members are adjustable in small increments so that the influence of any transverse forces can reliably be prevented from influencing the transported load.

40 t Turning Beam VarioBEAM

Application:
For the turning of difficult loads

Details:
In the VARIO lathe, the lifting strap is pushed to the appropriate position and the turning rolls right themselves automatically. After lifting, the crane side attachment is simply moved over the load centre with a single press of the button and the turning process can begin. The toothed turning rolls, together with the new secuwave coating, allow the torque to be reliably transferred to the load. The teeth of the coating grip the load and slipping is no longer possible.

TAP (Tower Attachment Point)

Application:
High-strength, tested attachment point

Details:
The new tower attachment point (TAP) was newly developed for all tower segments up to 100 tons with usable bolt circles from 2.5 - 4.2 m. Each individual TAP bracket has a load capacity of 25 tons at a maximum acceptable angle of 30°. The TAP brackets are drop-forged and are made of high quality heat-treated steel. As a result of the high-tensile materials the dead weight reaches a maximum of 30 kg and hand mounting is easily accomplished by two persons.

VarioTAP, Tower attachment point for every tower diameter

Application:
High-strength, tested attachment point for all tower diameters

Details:
The new Vario-TAP will fit into all types of system. The extra wide long holes, combined with the variable pressure plate with transverse hole can be used to create all types of hole circle. It is no longer necessary to use an auxiliary crane or mobile forklift truck for assembly, as the dead weight of the Vario-TAPs is a “portable” 30 kg. Whether 25to or 35to, the load bearing capacity of the new Vario-TAPs is only limited by the maximum bearing capacity of the screws. The respective input side is coloured and also identified with a label and is therefore clear: RED = LEFT and GREEN = RIGHT. The extra-stable variable  pressure plates are available for all screw sizes from M20 to M56.

Pulley

Application:
Lifting and turning of tower segments

Details:
The new sheave blocks can be used for lifting and turning. The compact and highly compressed wire rope evenly distributes the force across the suspension points. The ends of the steel cable eye stiffeners are suitable for continuous use with shackles. On the crane side, the sheave blocks have robust Magnum round slings.

J-Hook

Application:
Lifting and turning of tower segments

Details:
The J-Hook is simply attached to the flange of the tower segment and the tower segment can then be lifted. During the turning process, the robust stop device hooks behind the flange, and all contact surfaces are equipped with the robust secutex impact protection (PUR). The J-Hook securely “rolls” into the top position of the pipe segment. The hook has two rounded teeth with rotating embedded secutex pipe modules for this purpose.

SpanSet Roundsling Magnum-X

Details:
Whereas the protective jacket of a conventional roundsling is woven, Magnum-X has a compact hose cover. The incorporation of high performance polyester makes the hose cover extremely robust and therefore more tear and abrasion resistant than a conventional polyester protective jacket. The fabric is also made entirely of this innovative high performance fibre. Its completely new structure makes the Magnum-X much more compact, lighter and easier to handle.

SpanSet Roundsling Supra Plus

Details:
The SupraPlus Roundsling is manufactured according to EN 1492-1 with a nominal carrying capacity of 0.5 to 5 meters. Equipped with raised interwoven reinforcement ribs, the gliding motion during use is optimised and provides the best possible protection against abrasive wear. High durability is the result!

SpanSet Roundsling Magnum

Details:
The SpanSet Magnum Heavy Load Roundsling is manufactured according to EN 1492-2 with a nominal carrying capacity of 10 to 60 tonnes and standard usage lengths of 4 to 8 m. The optimised hose adjustment and clutch and reinforced textile wire effectively avoid the formation of folds in the protective hose, which makes the Magnum incomparably compact and resistant. High durability is the result!

SpanSet SD heavy load rope slings

Application:
Lifting of monopiles, transition pieces and towers

Details:
The SpanSet SD heavy load rope slings are a lightweight and safer alternative to using heavy wire rope slings for lifting monopiles and other tower sections into place in an offshore environment. The slings have a Dyneema® HMPE core with a hard wearing polyester braided cover. With lifting capacities up to 900 tonnes and weighing only 10% of a steel wire rope the overall weight of the rigging equipment can be considerably reduced allowing more load capacity for the crane and vessel. The ease of handling also leads to a marked reduction in rigging time. The SpanSet SD slings carry several safety benefits particularly in an offshore environment h with the low weight, no snap-back and no fis hooking as well as being low maintenance and easy to store after use.
