When a worker is required to approach
an unprotected fall hazard, the safest form of protection is
a work restraint system.
A system designed to prevent the user from
reaching an area in which a fall could occur.
Care should be taken when setting up the system
to ensure that a safe working zone is created, as once in place
the worker's level of awareness will decrease.
Equipment that is designed for fall arrest and work positioning
may also be suitable for work restraint.
