Bi-Line

Every year people suffer injuries as a result of falls from vehicles. In addition to the human costs, such incidents impact financially upon the company concerned, through administrative costs increased insurance premiums and legal costs.

Bi-LINE eliminates the risk to personnel and to their employers, providing a new dimension of safety that is both simple and cost effective.

Bi-Line:

The SpanSet Bi-LINE System represents a major step forward in the provision of safe access on vehicles. Bi-LINE is a unique restraint system which provides permanent `hands free' secured access along the entire length and width of the vehicle.

Bi-LINE can be fitted as original equipment or retro fitted to your existing fleet.

Height Safety and Fall Prevention for Inspection and Maintenance on Road Vehicles

Bi-LINE has been designed to provide maximum freedom of movement for the operative while working at height on the vehicle. It will protect against a fall even if the operative should become unconscious.

This high level of safety is provided by Bi-LINE's patented dual restraint lanyard which provides restraint to both sides of the vehicle and connects to the operative's belt with a single clip-on safety hook.

Once connected to the system, the operative has unrestricted access in both directions along the walkway and can turn through 180° whilst remaining comfortably restrained against a fall. When the operative dismounts from the vehicle the lanyard connecting hook is stowed using a restraint strap, leaving the system ready for future use.

Bi-Line in useConstructed from stainless steel, Bi-LtNE weighs between 8kg and12Kg, thus having little or no effect on the gross vehicle weight. Once fitted, the system remains permanently in a working position without adverse effect on the overall vehicle dimensions, and consequently has limited potential for impact damage.

Each installation is specifically designed to suit each type of vehicle and allow for its operational requirements. Options of belt harness, full body harness or jacket harness are available and specifically designed to integrate with the Bi–Line system.

In the interests of safety, SpanSet recommends that all installations undergo an annual inspection by a competent person and that all personnel working at height receive height safety awareness training.
